Change the default accompaniment chord in the one key mode

Hi!

How to change the default accompaniment chord in the one key mode?
In the C mayor scale, the the sixth grade would be A minor but the default configuration is A Sus4
How i do to change this chord and to personalize any other?

Thanks.

Hi, you can edit it

Options > Rhythm and Chord > Chord Type > User defiled (One Key) > Select the keys you want

This is a very good question! It can be quite annoying when the default accompaniment does not complement the chord expected, particularly in a C major scale where the vi chord should naturally be an A minor rather than an A Sus4. Most of the software or keyboards that support one-key mode allow for editing of settings or mapping via manual chord input. It might be helpful to check the accompaniment settings or chord editor to see whether default voicings can be overridden.

If personalization is an option, you should also be allowed to change other chords to suit your harmonic tastes, just like designers of fantasy book cover designers uk customized artwork to capture a story's world perfectly. Those little nuances go a long way in music and design! I hope this helps!

To change the default accompaniment chord in the One Key Mode, especially if you're working within the C major scale and want to adjust the sixth degree from A Sus4 to A minor, you typically need to access your keyboard or software’s accompaniment or chord settings. Here’s a general way to do it:

  1. Access the Accompaniment Settings: Look for a section like "Chord Detection" or "One Key/Smart Chord" in your keyboard or DAW (Digital Audio Workstation).

  2. Edit or Customize Chords: Many systems let you edit the default chord set used for each scale degree. Navigate to the sixth degree (A) and change the chord type from Sus4 to minor.

  3. Save as a User Preset: Once you’ve made the changes, save the configuration so that your personalized chords load each time.

If you’re using a digital tool or software, check the user manual or online forums for instructions specific to your model. Some systems limit changes in “easy” or beginner modes, so switching to an “advanced” or “custom” mode may be necessary.

Musicians who are creating original scores or arranging compositions often seek help through a book editing service in UK to ensure the accompanying chords, progressions, and music theory are well structured and clear for publishing. Whether you're self-publishing sheet music or integrating chords into a narrative, customizing accompaniment enhances both the sound and presentation.

Hi,

I ran into the same issue. Here’s a quick way to fix it:

  • In One Key Mode, default chords are auto-assigned for each scale degree. For example, A (6th in C major) might default to Asus4.

  • To change it, go to your keyboard or software’s Chord Mapping or One Key Mode settings.

  • Find the 6th degree and change Asus4 to A minor (Am).

  • Save or apply the changes so it sticks.

I’ve run into this too—would much prefer A minor over A Sus4 in one key mode. Haven’t found a direct way to change default chords yet, but if anyone knows how to customize chord assignments, especially for the C major scale, I’d love to hear it. Seems like a must-have for smoother accompaniment control!
