Blucta AI – Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy rights and strive to ensure this while you use Blucta AI. What the app does with your information is explained below.

What stays on your computer

Blucta AI works by looking at pictures of your screen and using the mouse and keyboard to carry out what you ask. With its built-in models (the default), these screenshots, your messages, the files it reads, and the pictures, videos and sounds it makes are all processed on your computer and do not leave it.

Your chats are saved on your computer, and you can delete them from the Recent page. API keys you enter for online models are stored encrypted for your Windows account.

Microphone and sound

The microphone is used only while you use voice typing. When you ask Blucta AI to listen, it records what your computer is playing, for that task only. Both are processed on your computer.

When it goes online

Online models: if you choose an online provider (such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Google) or a server of your own instead of the built-in models, your messages and the screenshots of each task are sent to that provider and handled under its privacy policy.

Web search: when a task needs it, the words to search for are sent to DuckDuckGo, or to Bing when DuckDuckGo does not answer, and the pages it reads are opened as a browser would open them.

AI models: the models are downloaded from Hugging Face, and a few files from sofeh.com, the first time they are needed.

Updates: each time it starts, the app checks sofeh.com for a new version and an updated list of models.

Usage statistics

Each time it starts, the app sends sofeh.com a random installation ID and its version number, so we know how many people use it, together with the computer’s Windows version, processor, amount of memory, graphics card and its memory, screen resolution and scaling, and which of the app’s features this computer can run well. Your country is worked out from the connection; the IP address is not stored with the report.

When the app closes (or at the next start, if it could not then), it sends a short summary of the session, so we can see where it is slow or fails: which of the built-in models are chosen, how long the model took to load and how much of it fit on the graphics card, how much memory was in use, the kind of error if something failed, how many steps each task took and whether it finished, the average time per step, how often each kind of action was used, the size, speed and outcome of model downloads, a timeline of what happened and when (such as a download starting or ending, the first message, the window being hidden or shown, or the computer going to sleep or shutting down), how long the session lasted and how much of it was spent on tasks, and whether it closed normally or crashed.

None of this contains anything from your screen, your files or what you type: no text, file names, window titles or paths. Nothing is sent before you accept the agreement the app shows before first use. You can turn the session summary and the computer details off in Settings › General.
